My Journey in Product & Tech

I started building products in the junior year of my undergraduate where I was working on a Water Tanker Delivery system at the Machine Vision Lab. That was my first experience with React Native, Javascript and MongoDb. Since then, I have built a range of products, from AI enabled quasi real time water quality monitoring dashboads to AI-powered FX risk management platforms that help businesses optimize hedging strategies, mitigate currency risks, and enhance cross-border financial operations. While working as a Software Engineer, I realized that my true calling lay in Product Management—bridging the gap between technology and customer needs, driving impactful solutions, and shaping product strategies that deliver real value.

Work Experience

Research Assistant

Collaborated with principal researchers to produce and edit podcast episodes for the Oral Histories of Mobile Communication project. Recorded and delivered high-quality video interviews, streamlining editing workflows with Adobe Premiere Pro to reduce production timelines by 50%.

Software Engineer / Product Manager

Worked on the front-end development of an FX risk management application, resolving bugs, implementing new features, and contributing to the React-to-Next.js migration. Integrated RESTful APIs for real-time financial data, optimized component rendering, and collaborated with backend teams using C# and .NET Core to ensure seamless API integration and data handling.

Product Owner Intern

Assisted in backlog management, user story writing, and sprint planning for graph database solutions. Also worked on the frontend UI revamping of AgensSQL, using the opensource codebase of pgAdmin

Research Assistant / Product Developer

Led the end-to-end product lifecycle to develop a real-time water quality monitoring dashboard, aligning with UN SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation). Built the dashboard using React, Node, MySQL and AWS. Increased data collection frequency from 4x per year to 288x daily, enabling instant contamination detection and proactive intervention by eliminating manual quarterly testing. Additionally, managed the project timeline, stakeholder alignment through biweekly check ins and developed product documentation for end users.

Product Development Intern

Completed a 20 hour training on React Native and started building a Water Tanker Delivery System using MERN stack, starting with wireframing on Adobe XD. This was a summer internship in my Sophomore year

Digital Marketing Intern

Designed branding and marketing materials using Adobe Creative Cloud, enhancing brand visibility. Directed, shot, and edited a restaurant commercial with Adobe Premiere Pro, boosting local engagement by 20%. Airbnb for Elderly

In a two-week Product Management hackathon, I worked on improving Airbnb’s accessibility for elderly travelers. I conducted user research, identified pain points, and proposed senior-friendly listings, verified accessibility filters, and an AI-powered assistant. This experience strengthened my ability to prioritize features, align solutions with user needs, and drive inclusive product design under tight deadlines.

Bridge to Calculus

I managed a 10-member team for Bridge to Calculus as part of my Engineering Project Management service-learning project, ensuring 100% on-time completion using Trello. I developed a project charter to align milestones and deliverables while designing flyers and managing registrations, increasing event participation by 30%. This experience strengthened my skills in team coordination and workflow optimization.

AquaSafe

As a Research Assistant at Machine Vision Lab, I developed AquaSafe, a real-time water quality monitoring dashboard. I worked on frontend development using React, collaborated on backend integration with Node.js and MySQL, and managed version control with GitHub. The system was deployed on AWS, ensuring scalability and real-time data processing. This project strengthened my skills in full-stack development, cloud deployment, and data visualization, enhancing my ability to build scalable, tech-driven solutions.

Healthcare Data Analytics

In this project, I analyzed a healthcare dataset to examine costs, patient demographics, and hospital resource utilization using Excel and Tableau. By cleaning data, creating Pivot Tables in Excel, and developing interactive visualizations in Tableau, I uncovered key trends in billing, insurance, and medical conditions. This project strengthened my skills in data visualization, predictive analytics, and policy-driven decision-making.

Maze Runner Game

I developed a JavaFX-based maze game as part of my Object-Oriented Programming course, applying concepts like abstraction, encapsulation, and inheritance. The game features randomly generated mazes, six game modes, and a graphical user interface. I spanning tree algorithms, collision detection, and interactive gameplay mechanics. Players navigate through mazes in timed or untimed modes with varying difficulty levels. This experience strengthened my skills in Java programming, game development, and GUI design.

AI-Powered House Price Prediction

In this project, I developed a house price prediction model using machine learning and deep learning to analyze real estate data from Zameen.com. By cleaning data, engineering features, and training models, I predicted property prices based on location, size, and features. This project strengthened my skills in data preprocessing, predictive modeling, and AI-driven decision-making for real estate analytics.

Audio Steganography Using Images

I implemented an audio steganography system that hides audio data inside an image by embedding its binary representation into the least significant bits of the image pixels. Using Python, Librosa, and PIL, the system encodes and later extracts hidden audio. This project enhanced my skills in digital image processing, data hiding techniques, and audio signal manipulation

IMDB Movies Dataset Project

Built a movie database system using C++ with linked lists, hash tables, and AVL trees for efficient storage and retrieval. Implemented features like actor and director search, co-actor relationships, and movie recommendations by genre, year, and rating. Optimized query performance using advanced search and sorting algorithms, ensuring fast and accurate data retrieval for film analysis.

Payroll Management System

For my Database Systems course, I developed a Payroll Management System usiRUD operations to manage employee records, salary details, increments, and deductions. A basic web app, built with Bootstrap, demonstrated payroll functions like salary computation, allowances, and tax deductions. The system ensures data integrity and secure authentication, enhancing my skills in SQL, web development, relational database design, and payroll system implementation for efficient salary management.
